Vinnys Coupe Dyno

This is actually franks old car wich he sold to Vinny, 375inch windsor based motor with a pt101mm turbo (106mm necked down to a 101) car makes great power and frank has piloted it to 7.35 @ 195mph. Vinny just got the motor rebuilt and they threw it on the dyno today with 0miles and made a 20psi, 24, and 34psi dyno runs before taking it to the track to make sure all is in order. Even though the tires spun at 34psi. Enjoy!

Johns Quicknova

John put his 69 nova on the dyno today, equipped with a nice 383 4bolt chevy smallblock, f1r procharger, th350 auto with a 9 inch out back and wilwood disc brakes all around, its a pretty nice package. First pull nice and warm on the dyno was 591rwhp and 461ftlbs, not bad not bad at all, we had conservatively estimated it to make about 550rwhp, so 591 was more than enough to make him happy on pump gas and 15psi. Bumped the timing a little bit, cooled the car down for 2 more pulls and ended up qith a stout 616rwhp 481ftlbs... the converter flashes to 5500rpms, so it misses peak tq, ide bet the car puts down over 550ftlbs but probably somewhere around 3800-4400rpm, so the converter flashing up misses that rpm band, either way this is a sick amount of power thru an automatic and a 9 inch, he has got to be happy with that, i will be intrested to see what this car does with some race gas and more boost.

4g63 Rail car

Frank had an intresting car on the dyno today, a 4g63 rail car, they spent most of the day chasing down some wiring issues and a coil pack. after putting in a 12 hour day, they made some short low boost pulls with the car and called it a day. it made 375hp on the last pull.

Probe Dyno day

Making some changes to the probe to get it ready for nopi nationals, the guys at psi motorsports removed the 91mm turbos that were on and installed some y2k 88mm's so they would be legal in Nopi's race class. Matt fabbed up a whole new air to water after cooler and cold side piping for the front end, and they tossed it on the dyno for some shakedown passes before nopi this weekend. Here are some pics and video!

The Twin 88 69 Camaro is back!

Finally after some pistons, cams, getting the turbo kit coated, fuel system install all the bells and whistles i dont even know about, the car is back... and ready to be tuned. Tonight they could only make a 10psi pull, the car made 1250rwhp and was spinning the tires over 8000rpm... 17psi pulls were attempted, and people were stuffed in the back of the car haha, but to no avail, more updates and video of this awesome project when i can. For now enjoy the pictures and dyno pulls from tonight.

Turbo Bike dyno day

Went up to the dyno today to get some WOT tuning done, and make sure i dont blow her up. All went extremely well, considering i only wanted 130whp at anything under 8psi. although i was nervous to go over 6psi. Since i wanted a pump gas reliable tune going. Turbo still smokes a little but im not gunna let that bother me, considering before it was basically a smoke machine. At just 4psi i made 135whp and 57ftlbs, thats a 26whp and 13ftlbs improvement from stock pretty amazing for such low boost, non intercooled, with such a small motor and turbo. Still have some things to play with but overall im very happy with it, gotta clean up the low end, too much fuel down there, swap out the plugs and maybe sometime ill up the boost a little.
