took the truck to maple grove

took the truck out to maple grove and ran it, many high 11 sec passes, but it was knocking in high gear, we found out later that the meth wasnt hooked up right and wasnt working, hah, so stay tuned for some quicker passes next time out. here are the four passes from the night

you can really see where how i said the 60ft totally surprised me.

to my surprise i actually yanked the tire at only 2000rpm there, and you can tell how i was barely on the gas because it yanked tire, and totally fell on its face till i opened the throttle hahah

we metup and drove out to island, swapped on our slicks and gave it our best. some playing around with tire pressure and technique, corey managed a 11.94 @ 112mph 1.64 60ft!

my best was a 12.19 @ 114 1.77 60ft

junkyard 6.0 for dons firebird

i stopped by to help Don and Corey throw the junkyard 6.0 into the firebird. moved the valvesprings over, and cam out of the ls1, and a nice pic of the toasted LS1 piston. too dark to get a pic of the motor installed but its actually in.

the truck did great for its first time out, 12psi, pushing through the converter hard on the top end still going 12.1 @ 111

now we know it needs the tighter converter, and 3.73s and a 28 inch tire. should really move then!
