took the busa to the dyno today
loaded her up on motor, and layed down 140hp, i was able to straiten the bike out and make another 11hp totaling 151on motor. the race gas actually made the bike richer than the pumpgas i was running.
ended up with a 13.2 AFR and 34deg of timing in the motor.
happy with that i moved on to the 30shot
i ended up using a 12.5-13.0 AFR and 32deg of timing to make 170 hp to the tire with a 24 nitrous jet in my dry bar.
tire was getting so boogery it was throwing rubber in the dyno bay, youll see on the video it hits me and the dude in the back of the head and arms haha
it was throwing chunks like this on the 60shot
same 12.5-13.0 afr wide open, a little fatter on the hit to be safe, and 30 deg of timing made 200.xx to the tire.
whats most amazing is my power curve holds power flat at 200hp from 9-11k on the dyno, pretty awesome for a 1200cc bike.
dyno pull on motor
dyno pull on 60shot (50rwhp, pretty good for a long bike with alot of chain)
and the three pulls overlayed
ill get video up in a little gotta cut through it.
all in all i am extremely happy with picking up more power on motor when i was already trapping low 140mph range.
and the increase of 50hp is pretty retarded, going to take alot of getting used to, and a better tire.
the owner at JD Cycleworks (http://www.jdscycleworks.com) is an awesome guy, very knowledgeable and was the only tuner in the tristate area with a bike dyno that would let me tune my own god damned bike lol
bike sounds so amazing on nitrous that on motor it sounds like a turd haha.
Video!
ready for the dyno tomorrow
trailer hitched up to the g8, meth tank filled in the g8.
bike tires pumped
chain tightened
raised it a link in the rear
topped off the fuel tank with sunoco purple (110 leaded)
laptop in the car
ecu flash cable loaded up
2 x 10lb nitrous bottles brimming at 1200psi
bike sitting on teh battery charger
ready to make some power, or make it hurt..

heavy duty clutch springs and nitrous parts today
recieved my HD clutch springs today, and my solenoid and bottle brackets, fluid filled gauge etc today.
got to install the springs in the busa, i have a bit of playing around to get the bottle bracket all setup and nice in the swingarm, going to be some fab work this weekend for that, also i have to wire in a relay and trigger setup for my solenoid.
but at least its looking like next time i have this beast out i will be spraying!

running the busa 11-13-10
you can really see where how i said the 60ft totally surprised me.
to my surprise i actually yanked the tire at only 2000rpm there, and you can tell how i was barely on the gas because it yanked tire, and totally fell on its face till i opened the throttle hahah
surprised i still pulled that good of a 60ft...
bottom end grunt of the 1300!

wideband commander isntalled today
installed the dynojet wideband commander today, man i am in love with this product already.
ive got it to a pretty steady 14.x aft while revving, IAP map is doing great, i have to buy a switch at the store for the datalog wire, when you supply it with 12v it starts logging a session, then off it stops obviously, whats neat is when you do it again, it creates a new session, everytime, till teh 10 min of flash memory is full.
gunna try to get somewhere around where that has an empty stretch of road and rip in 3rd from like 2-10k and make a log, and get the WOT table in the 12.5 - 13.0 AFR range and then its ready for the track!
the wideband commander is so fucking rediculous, you can program it to control 2 outputs by TPS, RPM, and AFR as variables...
lets say, spray nitrous noids if throttle is above 75% and rpm is over 6000, and afr stays below 12.0
if the air fuel walks up, it will shut off, if you pedal it will shut off, etc etc,
all while doing this you can datalog 10 min to the internal flash memory.
also has a warning light and beeping alarm internally, you can set the variables for that, its actually loud as hell, im sure i will be able to hear it with my helmet on and pipe screaming because my head will be right next to the gauge.
fuckin awesome.

testing out the stock ecu Two step limiter
stock ecu edited with rom raider and ECU editor, factory Neutral Limiter turned down to act as a two step launch limiter while the clutch is in, and while the bike is in neutral.

oil pan removed
pulled out the oil pan tonight and cleaned it up inside and out, tomorrow morning matt is going to cut about an inch out of it and weld it up, so i can get more ground clearance to lower the bike

custom 4-1 exhaust for the busa
among many other odds and ends, my friend matt lisle built me a custom 4-1 exhaust header and side exit exhaust so i can lower the bike even more after i cut down the oil pan. moved my rear brake caliper support bracket, and welded on a foot peg where my busted off one was. i cant wait to get this thing tuned up and to the track soon.

late night busa finish
ok, couldnt sleep after working on coreys truck all night, got up, went to the garage...
used the 10 dollar harbor freight chain rivet tool, and it fucking worked great, i would recommend it to anyone, you have to have some patience to get everything in the way you want, and then get it done. so after that i adjusted the chain. going to raise the back end of the bike a tiny bit on teh links, one or two more, till i can cut up the box on the back of the swingarm and etc.
filled the bike with water, installed the shift linkage rearset and bent back all the stock parts for the shift linkage and got it all working great actually hahha. re-ran all the wiring in the front end, used teh factory zip ties and etc. mounted the front end fuse box. gutted the stock air box to the Big airbox mod. threw filter in the garbage, mounted the stock tank, connected all the fuel lines etc.
fitted the stock overflow tank, filled the front tire with air (it looses air somehow) im sure i did some other small things im forgetting...
