Takin Care of the Diesel
Well, when we tried to load up the bike before we went to etown, the damned tailgate straps, ropes, steel chords, whatever broke! almost dropped the bike off the back. We pulled the tailgate off and saw that the tailgate attachment nub things were all rusted to shit and needed to be replaced. So the next day ryan had to order the new lines and connectors for the tailgate. Well they didnt have replacement bolts in stock, so whatever, we will put the old ones back in. Also my dad has some MAC truck gauges left over in a box, we scored one that is a diesel 3-50psi boost gauge, we will hook that up tomorrow probably, then buy a nice one later down the road, or just keep that one in.
Ok so we also ordered some brake lines and fittings for the line lock kit, to go in the mustang, ryan picked up all the stuff for the tailgate and we figured we would get that done tonight. Well the stupid torques bolts stripped out and only one of them came out. So i had the bright idea to weld on a half inch bolt and use the half inch wratchet and take them out, that works great but now we have useles bolts. HAHA cant win somedays. So he ordered some bolts online tonight to replace them, He also tonight installed the AN to NPT adaptors to the oil relocation kit so when the AN fittings are in we can attach the AN fittings to the hose we have and screw them in place, and then that will be done.
Also tomorrow the rest of the brake line stuff should be in and we can start on the line locks. Also on the agenda is clipping in the shift light into the AEM harness and setting that up. Im also waiting on extensions for my bike before the weekend. Pretty hectic right now, hope it all works out for the best and we get some racing done on the weekend.
