Cobras all day...
Well, everyone was up pretty early today, I metup with Corey in Emmaus at about 830, loaded up some tools, the nitrous bottle and some more of the interior of the cobra to take up to the dyno... also took up the drag wheels and probably other stuff I cant remember, Corey and I started by mounting the nitrous bottle to a new location, we did the same thing as we did for the water box, we welded some bolts to the floor and then tightened nuts to hold it in place, it works great! Timmy uploaded a tune to get the cobra running good and then we put it on the dyno. It was giving him alot of trouble till he got it going where he wanted, and long story short, all day yesterday a friends cobra was giving him trouble, later on that one. So after he got Coreys cobra where he wanted to, no matter what it is pulling 12+ AFR after 6000rpm. We are almost sure its out of injector, since no matter how much fuel you add there, it just wont change anything. Well either way on the spray it makes good power and the AFR stays where we want it, so we will just run the bottle all year.
Now, Donovans friend Sean got an ebay procharger kit, and getting the couplers to stay on the intercooler and pipes were a big challenge, he is going to order some tbolt clamps because the hoses and connectors etc keep blowing off, then that can get tuned. Also there are pics of Coreys refilling station he put together himself, works really well, fills a 10lb bottle in about 5 min. Here are the pics and video.
