Ported Blower installed, dyno tomorrow
Well Corey called me up at 11 and headed over, we were gunna soften the edges from what we cut out yesterday, and clean it up, wash it out in the parts washer, repack the bearings in the back etc. All in all it went really smooth, got it all cleaned up and re greased the bearings and installed the rotors. Then we tossed the snout on and smacked it down with a mallet. TQ'd the bolts down and packed it up and went to Corey's shop. We took the propane heater with us, fired that up and in no time it was nice and toasty in the garage. We got to work filling the blower snout with some synthetic oil, which I spilled all over the place hahaha. After it was all filled we just tossed it back on and started connecting endless amounts of wiring and vacuum lines etc. Tightened down all the necessary stuff and then one of our bolts was screwed up, quick stop at auto zone and a new bolt installed. Now it was time to fire her up! brought the civic around back and jumped it, filled the after cooler res and she was good to go, fired up and sounded great, there is definitely an improvement in throttle response and it revs very quickly. Then when that was all done. We painted the rest of the cage, cut the carpet and installed the rear bench and the drivers seat. She is all ready to go on the dyno tomorrow and we are eager to see the results.
