Move the wastegate, Street tires etc
Ryan Sold the interior out of the convertable fox body, and picked up a set of street rims and tires for the mustang. Identical to his rims with steel belted drag radials, instead of running on the balloon bias ply slicks all the time. We also wanted to move the gate flat on the merge because its having some trouble relieving all the exaust gas on the petastal mount its on, also it developed a slight header leak when the wastegate line came off and it was overboosting. So we cleaned all that up, fixed it up and letting it cure overnight and it can play tomorrow. Here are some pics
Wideband for the bike
Installed a wideband in the bike, so i can check out my AFR's on the nitrous and play with my fueling a little bit. I really wanted to get this in before i installed my 10r injectors for obvious reasons. Tuning without the wideband would be futile, and otherwise expensive to get on a dyno. Here are some pics

Beater Car Drag Race Day
Well we took the beater car to the dragstrip today, and wow, bad day to go, some kind of big old car racing event, we didnt even get to race until 3pm. Still managed to get 3 runs in. We definately had our fun today, I cant really believe the car is still running, it boggles the mind how people can blow up a car on nitrous, we cant seem to do it. Anyway, here is the video, very entertaining hahaha.

Beaver springs, saturday sept 22nd
sloppy mechanics visit beaver springs sept 22nd, there was basically no track prep, and it was high of 92f. So none of us did great. But i managed to best my time with a 30shot of nitrous haha
ryan ran 10s out of the gate, the prep was garbage because even the cobra was spinning, and that is the hook and bog machine.
Ryan and corey were pretty pissed with the prep, i dont need much prep with the bike, anyway enough with the babbling here is some video!
New Bike Bottle Bracket
Well my other bottle bracket actually ripped and left the bottle dangling, so this time i opted for a stronger solution, i bought a billet aluminum one and my plans were to tig it to the swingarm directly, this ended up being a problem i guess the cast piece in the end if the swingarm was dirty aluminum and wouldent weld nicely, so frank welded it to a plate for me, and i bolted the plate on. Many thanks again to Frank at PSI. I cant wait to race with this tomorrow.

Beater car maint.
well today we fired it up for probably the third time since the nitrous backfire.
it was puffing black smoke again running rich as hell, looked over the engine bay quick, map sensor unplugged, must have blown off in that intake backfire lol. damn that must have been alot of pressure, plug it in, car fires right up and doesnt smoke! hahaha amazing car.
we changed 6 out of the 8 plugs, the other two looked like a pain in the ass, so we left em go. the plugs were completely doused in fuel, smelled like they were sitting in a bucket of gas for a week.
we also loosened up the distro and cranked it till it wouldent go anymore hahaha.
friday we are gunna take it to island dragway i think. make some times with it if the thing gets thru tech.

tractor supply intercooler pump
so the stock intercooler pump on the cobra was not designed to pump 5 gal of water the length of the car, lol it frequiently stopped working, caught air pockets etc, so corey bought a 5gph i think pump from tractor and supply, he connected the lines up front together bypassing the stock pump and we installed this shitter in the back with the factory power wire and grounded this pump on the bolt holding the fuel cell to the trunk, works great, this thing really throws some water. Cant wait to see how it works out, and the nightmares of the stock pump being a pain in the ass are over.

Sunday at island dragway
Well, another usual day at island, lots of weird shit happened, as island seems to have bad luck for everyone. Ryans first two passes his wastegate line popped off, so the car ran too much boost and blew the intake pipe off the throttle body, then we fixed that and on his last run the recent suspension upgrades surprised him, understandably haha when the front end didnt move at all before and now it goes sky high, he missed 2nd. Tom also had some fun with his clutch fork coming loose one run and then the hood flying off on another.... Here are pics, the video will be up soon.

Drag shocks
Installed some lakewood 90/10 drag shocks in the rusty today, and pulled the drag springs and cut a half coil to drop the ride heigh to what it was with the lowering springs, front end really likes to act floaty now haha, racing tomorrow, results will be recoreded.

Dynojet Goodies
Sunday i ordered a dynojet multi function hub, this particular item does quite a few things, it plugs into the power commander, and allows you to add features like... a 0-5v sensor for anything, most commonly used for a map sensor to add fuel in boost, IE turbo charged and supercharged applications! It also has vehicle speed and gear input corrections, just like the power commander if you change your exhaust and filter you need to tune the fuel, well if you change your sprockets, you can compensate your vehicle speed with it, it also has 2 outputs that you can switch with rpm and tps, as in nitrous (wich i just setup) or an air shifter etc. It also has a map selector switch, so now i can load the nitrous map and the NA map without using the laptop every time. So i removed the lap timer nitrous setup i had, and installed the multi hub, had to do some cutting to the rear storage compartment because its really cramped, ran my map selector switch and my outputs to the multi hub, then wired the solenoid strait to the battery, since the multi hub grounds items up to 3 amps per channel (2 channels). I also instalelled a switch inline with the noid so when im off the nitrous map it isnt dry firing the noid if i rip into the bike. I used the dynojet map selector switch holder, i used paper clips to hold it in place in the pics to see if i would like it there, i super glued it together there and it works great.
Cant wait to try out my new toys at the track this weekend. Here are the pics.

Grand Marquis Nitrous Dyno Day
Well at about 2pm we went up to the dyno and took the merc. We made a baseline pull of 115hp and 182 ftlbs, then with the nitrous it made 218whp and 323ftlbs. It made 103whp and 141ftlbs on the juice, thats damn good thru an AODE automatic they eat up like 20% or more power off the motor. Then we took it out into the street and did a nasty nitrous burnout, and it was roasting the tires off 1st 2nd and timmy let off and it went into third, i told him to whack the nitrous again, but it was bogged down to like 1000rpm hahah and when he hit it, the fuel puddled and exploded in the intake! hahaha, small fire but Lehigh Valley fire protection corey was on the spot and sprayed it out. We then fired it right back up and i backed it into the water and Neutral bombed it and hit the juice and it was sideways for at least 100ft. Then timmy wanted to turf the feild, and then we called it a day hahaha, video is on its way.
Grand Marquis nitrous install!
So today, after the track, we decided it was time, gather up some nitrous parts, and get this thing on the bottle hard. Starting with a 150shot and probably going up till there is a problem. We decided to cut open and plug up the windsheild washer res, and put the fuel pump and 87 octane cat piss in there for the wet kit, so it doesnt leach off the stock fuel pump. Then we ran the lines, grounded everything and powered it all with the classic sloppy mechnaics horn activation! We installed the nozzle initially in the rubber gromet before the throttle body, with mediocre results. Corey suggested that installing it in the intake manifold would really increase hp. Well he was right, haha def a big difference. Now that its all ready to go, we are gunna dyno it tomorrow and see what the AFRs and whatnot look like. Here are some pics, Video will be up when i get it together!

Slop car 1 Grand Marquis
So today, Corey, Ryan and I headed over to Erics dealership and picked up a 100 dollar car to do what we want with hahah... plans are to strip this thing out, and install nitrous, a wet kit with a 150shot is the goal, and drag race the piss out of this thing, then prepare it for a beater car race in november. Almost everything will be documented and should be hillarious. Here is video of the first night... we are just out of control and couldent stop ourselves from beating this thing to death tonight...

sept 1st west end fair tractor pull
The slops went to the sept 1st west end fair tractor pull, right after going to etown. There isnt much to talk about other than it was awesome seeing diesels blowing smoke and towing away, nothing like seeing people actually use their trucks!
i didnt video any of the gasoline trucks or alcohol trucks because anything that isnt diesel at a tractor pull just sucks.
Etown Raceway Park Sept 1st
Wokeup early with corey and drove the cobra down to raceway park at 7am, saw henry there with the gt500, corey ran 2 times and the tri-ax shifter was acting up and he ended up missing a gear both passes, he is ordering a MGW shifter and going back out next weekend, One good result is the axels didnt break! Here is some video.
