Level 2 Axels in the cobra
Corey got his level 2 axels in the mail today, about 10pm we decided to install them because he wants to race at Etown tomorrow morning. You have to take apart the stock axel and swap over the tripod bearing into the new axels and use the inner hub and ABS ring of the old axel. Pretty sloppy job, no problem, we have a bunch of slops for that. Installation went pretty smooth, other than breaking a shock bolt that wouldent come apart, running to the sloppy nuts and bolts bin at ryans house proved a quick fix. Car drives great, its all loaded up with slicks and tools for tomorrow, Corey and I will be driving down to Etown tomorrow and he will be making some passes, then we will be going to the west end fair for the tractor pull! Here are the pics!

Maple Grove Friday Night
Went to Maple Grove Friday night for some drag racing, Ryan and Brian took the mustangs. The first run was the best for both of them and they even got to line up, but my camera was giving a dirty tape error... damnit haha. Here is the video from last night.

Taurus Upgrade
Meaningless taurus upgrades FTW! So i read on the internet that you can install a older duratec 24v motor throttle body on the vulcan V6, so i searched ebay and found one pretty cheap and figured why the hell not! My stock throttlebody is right under 2.5 inches and this one is just over 3, not the most exciting thing in the world but what the hell. Installation was actually more challenging than i thought, the throttlebody was made for a alum intake and i have a composite with lots of holes in and around the tbody. Also its a tad larger than the gasket on the intake, so it leaked, and also threw a TPS out of range CEL and then it threw lean codes after we set the TPS. So, the only way to fix this is with a sloppy favorite... PERMATEX RTV!
We cut out a piece of gasket paper, and then RTV'd the hell out of both sides, stuck it on, waited 15min and bam, fired up, no stumbling, no lean pop, nothing. Score 1 more for RTV. Ah yes i almost forgot, the throttle body blade hit the lower part of the intake opening a little so i sanded it down and then fired up the motor to clear out all the bits of plastic.

Pappy Side runners
Well, Ryan finally got tired of the diamond plate step up side runners on the truck, they make it look too old and i just plain dont like em haha, and they are rusting of course, so today he removed them and he is looking into another kind of nerf bar or anything similar, most likely lifting the truck a little 2-4 inches etc. I think it looks a lot better without them on.

Clutch, tranny install
well ryan got the clutch disc in the mail today, so he polished up the pressure plate and the flywheel so they looked like new, without welded pieces of clutch too them. Then we installed the clutch and tranny in record time, i dont think ive ever picked up a transmission and jammed it into place so successfully the first time. Either way we got it all in and bolted down, started up the car and played with the clutch cable firewall adjuster for a while and got it where ryan liked, then installed the hood and its all history after that, seems to be working good, just gotta get a good amount of miles on it before he beats on it too bad. We will be going to that coopersburg carshow sunday so we will see how that is. Should be fun! sloppy mustang is back in commission!

Tranny and clutch removal
Yesterday while i passed out on the couch, ryan ripped out his tranny and bellhousing and clutch, and ive personally never seen antyhing like this, but figures it would happen to ryan. The clutch absolutely welded itself to the pressure plate and the flywheel, there is no doubt about it. check out the chunks it left on both, prying them apart left material all over the pressure plate and flywheel, amazing, ive really never seen anything lke this...

Firewall adjuster...
So after numedia, ryan bought the firewall clutch adjuster, we installed it today and well, spite from being a quality piece and pretty awesome, the clutch must be welded to the flywheel. It happens on rare occasions and if your name is Ryan. Tomorrow or the next few days we need to pull the tranny and clutch and scuff the flywheel again and put it all back in, what a pain in the ass. If you have any suggestions on how to knock it loose besides towing it with a diesel truck in gear (we tried) feel free to send them to me.

Junkyard Fox
Sunday Seven, Ryan and I went to a friend of ryans to pickup a wrecked 89 GT Vert. He and his friend are gunna sell the parts off it to make some money and ryan might possibly use some parts, If you are intrested in any parts at all out of a 89 Vert feel free to email me.
Numedia dragway
pretty nice track i have to say, prep was very good, tech was cake.
I checked the elevation, its 1000ft pretty high when you consider atco is less than than 200ft, and on a good day they are below sea level... but island doesnt hook for shit, and this track was sticky as fuck!
and ryan just cant catch a fuckin break... plastic firewall clutch cable passthru broke after his burnout... what the fuck. yeah well, another 50 bux another problem solved. back out next weekend for sure.

s13 shell
So on Monday of last week Ryan and I took his F350 and the trailer to Camden NJ (yeah I know) and picked up this gem for $450. We towed it home and looked it over. It's going to have almost ever body panel replaced anyways so I don't mind the dents, etc. I wanted a car with a black interior, sunroof, no underbody rust, and no cracks in the dash. Thats exactly what I got. It's an automatic with bad body work and it doesn't run, but all that stuff would've changed anyways. The interior is actually in really nice shape (not that I'll use it). I just secured a garage to store the car in on Wednesday of this week. So with that and the paycheck for the end of the month and some money from the sale of the blue 636 should buy this baby a S13 SR20DET Red Top motor, motor mounts, a koyo radiator, new clutch, a set of altima fans, 3in downpipe, 3in exhaust, Z32 MAF, cone filter, walbro 255 and the wiring service for the swap. After that stuff is purchase I'll scouring junkyards for the 5 speed swap stuff, and a new ignition column (the part for the key is fucked - key won't come out) and a new set of locks (driver's side lock cylinder doesn't work) and then we'll look into body work as well as a running car. Stay tuned for more progress... Here's pics of the car. Pics of the garage on the way...

Junkyard 4l80e
Donovan has been looking around for a used 4l80e to install into the firebird, because the stock built 4l60e just doesnt like to shift out of 2nd on the nitrous anymore, the 4l80e is a much larger stronger tranny, people say its basically a th400 with electronics and overdrive. Either way they were up earlier and found a tranny and got it almost ready to go, but couldent get it out, they called corey and Me and Ryan and Corey went up and yanked it out, We got so dirty it was amazing hahaha. The cart we rented also happed to be the only one with crooked wheels, so when you tried to pull it it dove left and right on you and was pretty funny haha. Here are your pics, and short video of the retarded cart.
